INSTALLING NON-PLAYSTORE APPS
To allow a non-Playstore app to be installed you should set your device to
allow instalation of apps from 'Unknown Sources'.  Unknown Sources means from sources other than the PlayStore shop. This app is not available on the Google PlayStore as this is freeware and Google charge software writers to host free apps.
.

IS IT SAFE TO MANUALLY INSTALL AN APP?
While most apps are dowloaded and installed from a PlayStore or similar website you can install one manually, too.  The installer file has the file extension APK.

All apps have the ability to access your device, whether they are from Playstore or not. What matters is which 'Permissions' the app asks for during install.  When an app is asking for permissions it does not need this should raise a red flag to the user.

Nature Explorer only requires internet access permission to initially download your nature topics. Thereafter it works completely 'offline' and without internet making it useful for in-the-field work.
